I'm an emerging artist/painter who’s perpetually exploring ways of translating harmony and tension through pigment and texture. Occasionally, I dip my toes into literary waters, although I wouldn’t call melself a writer, more an artist who loves the shape of language and the fluidity of translation. Living on breathtaking Ngunnawal/Ngambri Country in Canberra Australia, I'm fuelled by a desire to repurpose objects into environments. I fixate on translating everyday objects (often designed to be discarded after a single use) into textural marks, unburdened by excess and liberated through muted-earthy colour palettes. In response to overconsumption,I'm drawn to paint: antique, vintage, handcrafted and upcycled subject matter.
Within my Art Practice, I engage with core concepts of value and the root of aesthetics

I try to encourage viewers to engage with with not only ‘the seen’, but also to experience ‘the felt'. Painted subject matter to me, doesn’t exist to be simply looked at. My art acts as stimuli for: stories, ideas, beliefs, and images to be reimagined.
Reading Reflections
Aesthetic-responsive writing. To remember why read andwhy return to these works again and again.
